Introduction to my Fellowship Portfolio
The panel displayed here was a successful submission in the Visual Art Category back in 2002.
My accompanying text was as follows -
“My panel consists of a set of images taken in and around the Surrey Hills. I chose to capture the mood and atmosphere of early misty mornings. Where possible I have shot against the light and tried to include the sun. As these conditions occur only a few times each Autumn/Winter it has taken me several years to put the panel together.
I have chosen a monochrome treatment, split toned between a cold blue and warm sepia. This I feel conveys the atmosphere of these mornings and simulates the limited palette at this time of the day.
All the images were digitally printed on Fine Art paper which again is sympathetic to the final presentation.”
Technical Details:
All images originated from Ilford Delta 100/400 35 mm film taken with a Leica M and two lenses 35mm and 50mm. The film was then scanned using a Nikon Coolscan, manipulated with Photoshop Lite {given free with the printer} and printed on an Epson 1160 using Lyson Standard Fine Art paper and Lyson small gamut ink set.
